This time, Imogen is not returning because of one of her old storylines. She reveals that she quietly dated Philip before his relationship with Georgia developed, and her version of that period contains information Georgia says she had never previously heard.

Imogen joined “Made in Chelsea” in 2023 and appeared across Series 25 to 27, as well as “Made in Chelsea: Corsica.” When she was introduced to viewers, she was described as being 25 at the time, having grown up in Goodwood, West Sussex, before establishing herself in Chelsea. Contemporary coverage also described her as working in wealth management while building a social media profile as an influencer.
Her original run on the show was hardly drama-free. One of her first major storylines involved Harvey Armstrong, whom she had been seeing before discovering that he was also dating Willow Day. That history makes her Season 32 return feel familiar because once again Imogen finds herself discussing a man who was dating more than one person during the same general period.
Imogen was no longer part of the regular cast by the time Philip joined the series. Philip arrived in 2026 as Jules Pollard’s older brother, with Channel 4 introducing him as a 26-year-old former semi-professional footballer who had moved into tech sales after recently coming out of a long relationship.

Season 32 Episode 2 reveals that Imogen and Philip had been dating away from the show before Philip’s relationship with Georgia became one of his central “Made in Chelsea” storylines.
Imogen first explains the history while talking to Angus and Chuggs. She says she and Philip had been seeing each other quite regularly and estimates that they went on approximately eight to ten dates.
According to Imogen’s timeline, they first met around November. Their dating continued through the New Year’s period and into January and February, suggesting that this was not simply a single evening or an isolated date from her perspective.
That interpretation becomes important later because Philip remembers the extent of their dating differently. When the two eventually discuss what happened face to face, he pushes back on some of Imogen’s description of their relationship, particularly how serious it had become.
Why did Imogen and Philip stop dating?
Imogen says the relationship did not end through a clear conversation. Instead, she reached Valentine’s Day and realized that she had suddenly stopped hearing from Philip.
Initially, she appears to have assumed he was simply busy. The situation became clearer when she saw Philip posting from Soho Farmhouse with Georgia.
Imogen says Philip had previously indicated there was not another woman involved. From her point of view, seeing Georgia after Philip had simply stopped communicating explained why their dating had ended so abruptly.

She also says that shortly before Philip’s trip with Georgia, she believed he was still expressing genuine interest in continuing to see her. Philip disputes some of that characterization when they later speak, which means viewers are presented with two different memories of how serious the connection had become.
Did Philip date Imogen and Georgia at the same time?
There was an overlap in the broad timeline, something Philip himself acknowledges in Episode 2. He describes Imogen as one of the women he was dating around the beginning of his relationship with Georgia.
The disagreement is less about whether both women were in his life and more about how significant his relationship with Imogen actually was. Imogen remembers numerous dates spread over several months, while Philip minimizes parts of that account and challenges the idea that he had presented their relationship as particularly serious.
Philip nevertheless accepts that the way he ended things was wrong. When Imogen tells him she felt disrespected by his sudden disappearance, he says he regrets how he handled it and acknowledges that his behavior at the time was unacceptable.
His attempted explanation does little to help. Philip admits that he stopped responding to several women around the same period, which confirms that Imogen was not the only person affected by how he was dating at the time.
Why does Georgia get upset about Imogen?
Georgia already knew Philip had been seeing other people before they became exclusive. Her problem is that Imogen tells her details that appear to go beyond what Philip had previously explained.
Georgia enters the conversation between Philip and Imogen and initially seems to believe she already understands the history. That changes when Imogen describes a longer dating period, including seeing Philip around New Year’s and continuing into the weeks before Valentine’s Day.

After Imogen leaves, Georgia tells Philip that she wants to be able to defend him by saying she already knows what happened. Instead, she feels that she is repeatedly placed in situations where another person reveals something she had not been told.

Imogen’s role does not end with exposing the dating timeline. Later in the episode, Philip talks to her again about the tension between him and Georgia, admitting that their relationship has been difficult and that frequent arguments have made him cautious about committing fully.

Imogen also speaks directly with Georgia. Rather than treating her like a romantic rival, she suggests that some of Georgia’s frustration may come from lingering resentment over what Philip did before they became exclusive.
Georgia does not completely reject that suggestion. She admits that she overthinks the situation and that the past sometimes contributes to how she reacts when she and Philip disagree.
Philip eventually joins the conversation, and the couple acknowledge that their current dynamic cannot continue unchanged. Georgia wants to know whether they are actually progressing toward a relationship, while Philip says he is reluctant to make a commitment when they are arguing so often.
They ultimately agree to keep working on things together. Imogen’s return therefore does not immediately separate Philip and Georgia, but it forces both of them to confront a problem that had clearly never been fully resolved.

For now, Imogen’s Season 32 appearance is best treated as a return rather than confirmation that she has rejoined the main cast permanently. She was previously a regular presence between 2023 and 2024, but Channel 4’s Season 32 launch material focused on other newcomers rather than announcing Imogen as a full-time returning cast member.
What Episode 2 does establish is that she still has strong connections within the Chelsea social circle. More importantly, her history with Philip gives the show a reason to keep her around if his relationship with Georgia continues to be affected by questions about what happened before they became exclusive.
