Will There Be a Graveyard Season 4? Netflix Renewal Status Explained

“Graveyard” Season 4 has not been officially confirmed by Netflix yet. Season 3 premiered worldwide on August 28, 2026, and Netflix has not announced either a renewal or cancellation for the Turkish crime drama. The finale certainly behaves like a story that expects to continue because Önem and Serra are still trapped by Bora when the episode ends, while the wider network behind the boxes remains active. That makes Season 4 narratively likely, but the cliffhanger itself is not evidence of an official renewal.

Has Netflix Renewed Graveyard for Season 4?

As of August 29, 2026, Netflix has made no official Season 4 announcement. The streamer’s current promotional material focuses entirely on Season 3, which reunited Chief Inspector Önem Özülkü and her disbanded team for the investigation into the mysterious boxes. Netflix’s August trailer announcement likewise confirms the Season 3 cast, writers, directors, and central case without mentioning another season. There is therefore no confirmed production start or Season 4 release date at this stage.

That timing is not especially alarming because Season 3 has only just been released. Netflix now has the opportunity to evaluate how strongly the new episodes perform with subscribers before deciding whether another season makes sense. International shows can also receive renewal announcements on schedules that differ considerably from Netflix’s biggest English-language productions. A lack of news immediately after release should not be mistaken for cancellation.

Does the Season 3 Ending Set Up Another Season?

Yes, and it does so unusually directly. Bora kidnaps Serra, forces Önem to go with him, and turns their captivity into a livestream designed to prove his misogynistic worldview. Önem is still struggling to keep Serra from being crushed when the episode ends. Serdar and the rest of the Graveyard team are tracking Önem through her smartwatch, but they have not reached her before the credits begin.

Bora has not been arrested or killed either. Altan Yılmaz, known as Shadow, turns himself in, but he represents only part of the operation. Bora insists that even his own downfall would not stop the movement because many other men share the same beliefs. The livestream comments make that threat more convincing by showing thousands of people watching and some actively encouraging what he is doing.

What Would Season 4 Need to Resolve?

The immediate priority would be revealing whether Önem can continue holding the mechanism long enough for the team to save Serra. Sude has already helped locate her mother and reaches her through Bora’s livestream, while Serdar, Hasan, and the others are closing in. A fourth season could therefore begin directly where Season 3 stops instead of introducing an entirely new case. Bora’s arrest or death would then settle only one part of the larger storyline.

The “Nest of Hate” network is the bigger unresolved problem. Season 3 establishes that the threatening boxes were sent to dozens of women across multiple cities and that the ideology exists within online communities larger than Bora himself. Altan’s involvement also proves that the operation requires multiple participants. Even if the Graveyard unit saves Önem and Serra, dismantling that network could supply the team with another serialized investigation.

When Could Graveyard Season 4 Be Released?

There is no official release window, and predicting a specific year would currently be premature. Season 1 arrived on June 17, 2022, while Season 2 did not premiere until February 27, 2025. Season 3 followed on August 28, 2026, showing that the gaps between seasons have not followed a fixed annual pattern. Viewers should therefore be cautious with sites presenting an exact Season 4 date before Netflix announces one.

The more important milestone will be the renewal itself. If Netflix orders another season, production information from Türkiye may provide the first meaningful indication of how quickly the series can return. Until that happens, any 2027 or 2028 release prediction is only an estimate. Netflix has not provided enough information to narrow the timing further.

Would Birce Akalay Return as Önem?

No Season 4 cast has been announced because the season itself is not confirmed. However, it would be difficult to continue “Graveyard” in its current form without Birce Akalay’s Önem Özülkü, whose leadership of the special investigations unit has anchored the series from the beginning. Season 3 makes her even more central by turning the boxes case into a direct attack on her identity, career, and family. The final episode also leaves her story unfinished rather than writing her out.

Olgun Toker’s Serdar and the wider Graveyard team would likewise have obvious reasons to return if Netflix renews the show. Sude may become even more important after using technology to help track her kidnapped mother in the finale. Bora’s future is harder to predict because his eventual capture could happen quickly or become an extended storyline. None of those returns should be described as confirmed until Netflix publishes Season 4 casting information.

Was Season 3 Intended as the Final Season?

Netflix has not publicly marketed Season 3 as the final season in its current official materials. Its announcement describes a new mystery that reunites Önem and her team, while the finale deliberately leaves the principal confrontation unresolved. That is very different from a conclusion designed to permanently close the Graveyard unit’s story. Still, an unfinished ending cannot force a streaming service to order another season.

The strongest case for Season 4 is therefore the story itself, not an unofficial renewal rumor. Önem and Serra still need to escape Bora, Bora still needs to face the team, and the organization behind the boxes has not been dismantled. “Graveyard” has provided Netflix with three seasons since its 2022 debut, so another investigation is certainly possible. For now, however, the accurate answer remains that Season 4 is not confirmed, and viewers will have to wait for Netflix to decide whether Önem’s fight continues.
