When Earle Meets World introduces Alix Earle’s family, her younger sister Ashtin Earle does not come across as someone simply tagging along with a more famous sibling. The 23-year-old already has a substantial audience of her own, lives in New York City and is trying to turn her interest in fashion into a career that extends beyond social media. Netflix describes Ashtin as a content creator and aspiring model, while Alix characterizes the sisters very differently: Alix has the louder “golden retriever” energy, while Ashtin embraces being the quieter, more mysterious “black cat” of the family. With more than 1.9 million followers across her social platforms, Ashtin entered Earle Meets World with an existing career rather than starting from zero because of the Netflix series.

Ashtin Earle Is Alix Earle’s Younger Sister

Ashtin grew up with Alix in Monmouth County, New Jersey, as the daughters of Alisa Maniaci and Thomas “TJ” Earle. The sisters remained extremely close even as their parents separated and their family expanded, with TJ later marrying Ashley Dupré and having three more children, Izabel, Penelope and Thomas. On Earle Meets World, Ashtin is therefore not simply another relative occasionally appearing around Alix. She is one of the people Alix relies on most, and People describes their relationship as one in which Ashtin functions as both her sister and one of her closest confidantes.

Their contrasting personalities also give Ashtin a recognizable role in the family. Netflix says she considers herself a “black cat,” which fits the more reserved image she has cultivated online, while Alix is considerably more comfortable making her private life public. Ashtin has admitted that she can be awkward and shy when going out, despite the confident fashion persona seen on her accounts. That quieter personality becomes particularly relevant in Earle Meets World because she is suddenly participating in a form of reality television where she no longer controls exactly what viewers get to see.

She Studied Psychology at Tulane University

Before moving fully into the creator and fashion world, Ashtin spent four years at Tulane University in New Orleans. She studied psychology and graduated in May 2025, and Tulane’s own records also list her among students recognized on the university’s Dean’s List. While attending college, she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and continued developing her social media presence alongside her studies.

Her online career was initially much less calculated than viewers might assume. In a 2026 Rollacoaster interview, Ashtin explained that she started posting on TikTok during 2020 and initially kept that side of her life relatively separate from her experience at Tulane. Alix’s enormous rise naturally gave more people reason to notice her sister, but Ashtin gradually developed an audience around her own fashion choices, lifestyle videos and personality. By the time she graduated, social media was no longer simply something she did alongside college.

Fashion Is Becoming Ashtin’s Own Career

Fashion is the clearest area where Ashtin is attempting to establish an identity separate from Alix. Her style generally runs darker and more understated than her sister’s, and her interest has developed into fashion events, campaigns and collaborations rather than remaining limited to outfit posts. In spring 2026, she worked with Dolls Kill on the company’s first influencer-curated capsule collection, with the festival-focused pieces reflecting Ashtin’s own tastes rather than simply attaching her name to an existing range.

Her fashion profile has continued expanding beyond that collaboration. Rollacoaster featured Ashtin on one of its Spring/Summer 2026 covers, while the Netherlands edition of Cosmopolitan selected her for its August/September 2026 Fashion & Career issue. The Cosmopolitan feature presented Ashtin specifically as a personality emerging from Alix’s shadow, discussing fashion, influencing, Earle Meets World and her ambitions. She has also become increasingly visible around Fashion Week, including attending Michael Kors’ Spring 2026 show in New York, where she spoke about her longstanding interest in the brand and fashion more broadly.

Earle Meets World Shows a Different Side of Ashtin

Taking part in Earle Meets World required Ashtin to give up some of the control that comes with being a social media creator. She previously told People that filming was challenging because she normally chooses when to post and what parts of herself to reveal, whereas reality television captures conversations and reactions she would never necessarily upload herself. At the same time, she found parts of the process surprisingly helpful because filming forced the family to address subjects they might otherwise have avoided.

That difference is important to understanding why Ashtin stands out in the Netflix series. She and Alix may work in the same online world, but they do not approach fame with exactly the same personality. In a post-release interview, both sisters said filming events as they happened created a level of authenticity that their usual curated social posts could not reproduce. Ashtin has also indicated that she would be open to returning if Netflix makes another season, although no renewal should be assumed until Netflix announces one.

What Is Ashtin Earle Doing Now?

Ashtin is currently based in New York City and is continuing to work as a creator while pursuing opportunities in fashion and modeling. Netflix now describes her as an aspiring model rather than merely identifying her as Alix’s sister, and her recent magazine covers, fashion collaborations and brand work support that direction. Her appearance at the September 1 Earle Meets World premiere also marked a different kind of visibility for her, with Ashtin walking the carpet as part of the show’s principal family cast.

Earle Meets World will inevitably bring Ashtin a new group of viewers who discovered Alix first, but her career is increasingly moving beyond that introduction. She has a psychology degree she chose not to turn into a conventional career, a sizable audience of her own and a clear interest in building credibility within fashion. Being Alix Earle’s younger sister may explain why many viewers first recognize her, but it no longer gives the complete picture of what Ashtin Earle is trying to do.
