Vigil Season 3 Episode 3 turns the investigation on Svalbard in a very different direction. Polina’s death initially makes Kirsten Longacre look dangerously compromised, but the episode gradually reveals that Polina was hiding her own agenda, Daniel Hodge had secrets of his own, and Shen Jia’s disappearance may be connected to something far more dangerous…
The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 Episode 7 spends much of its runtime making Negan look like the biggest danger on Manhattan. He has killed Fabian, admitted to killing the Dama, and apparently left Dillard with a brutal wound across his face, giving Renata more reason to believe that keeping him alive could put…
Lucie Manette is introduced in A Tale of Two Cities as far more than the young woman caught between Charles Darnay and Sydney Carton. Episode 1, Recalled to Life, gives her a private ambition that she has apparently been pursuing for some time: medicine. Lucie is not officially a doctor, and she cannot legally establish…
A Tale of Two Cities Episode 1, titled Recalled to Life, begins with a painful memory that has defined Lucie Manette for most of her life. As a child in Paris, she watches her father, Alexandre Manette, stay behind while Jarvis Lorry takes her to safety. Eighteen years later, Lucie has accepted that her father…
Lioness Season 3 Episode 6, Sugar Land, finally breaks one of the season’s biggest assumptions while making Joe’s rescue even more urgent. The CIA has spent days operating on the belief that Russian intelligence kidnapped Joe, but Kyle’s search for Oleksa produces a different conclusion: Russia may have supplied operatives, while Iran is more likely…
Joe suffers a severe foot injury in Lioness Season 3 Episode 6, but the currently available account does not establish that Babat removes her entire foot. Sugar Land shows Babat cutting off part of Joe’s foot while preparing to move her after the kidnappers’ original escape plan begins falling apart. The distinction matters because describing…
Yes, Senator Olson dies in Lioness Season 3 Episode 6 after deliberately driving into oncoming traffic. His death comes shortly after Joe, Mullins, Meade and Westfield confront him with evidence connecting his political career to foreign money and give him a choice between cooperating or eventually being publicly exposed and prosecuted. Olson realizes that quietly…
Lioness spends several episodes making Joe’s abduction look like a Russian intelligence operation, but Season 3 finally complicates that assumption in Sugar Land. Episode 6 strongly points to Iran as the power actually behind Joe’s kidnapping, with Russian operatives apparently being used as contractors rather than acting entirely on Moscow’s behalf. Kyle reaches that conclusion…
Earle Meets World comes remarkably close to acknowledging Alix Earle’s rumored connection with Tom Brady without ever having Alix formally call him her boyfriend. The two were seen together at a New Year’s Eve celebration in St. Barths shortly after Alix’s breakup with Braxton Berrios, and additional reports later described their connection as casual. The…
Bookish Season 2 Episodes 5 and 6, titled Killer Nacht: Part One and Killer Nacht: Part Two, take Gabriel Book and Jack away from Archangel Lane for a case that becomes much more personal than either of them expected. Their journey to Germany begins with the proposed sale of a rare Shakespeare volume, but Book’s…
Earle Meets World ends Alix Earle and Braxton Berrios’ story at exactly the moment viewers expect an answer. More than four months after their breakup, Alix calls Braxton and directly asks whether his position on never getting back together with an ex has changed. The episode cuts to the credits before he gives a complete…
Alix Earle and Braxton Berrios did not break up because of one explosive betrayal or a single fight. Earle Meets World makes the end of their relationship look much more gradual. Long distance kept them apart, communication became increasingly limited, their intimacy declined, and Alix began questioning whether she was ready for the marriage and…
