You+Me – Against the World is built around the collision between Alma Lancaster and Vadim Arcadi, two film students whose lives look almost incompatible before a college project forces them together. The French Prime Video romance adapts Emma Green’s bestselling books with newcomers in its two central roles, while several more familiar French performers surround them as members of Alma’s family and social circle. Director Manon Gaurin’s cast is particularly notable because Alma is played by Vittoria Di Savoia, whose first feature-film leading role arrives opposite an actor with an even shorter public screen resume.

Vittoria Di Savoia as Alma Lancaster

Vittoria Di Savoia plays Alma Lancaster, the 18-year-old at the center of the story. Alma comes from a wealthy family that believes she is studying law, but she has secretly chosen filmmaking instead, creating an immediate conflict between the life expected of her and the one she actually wants. Her encounter with Vadim during a student production turns that private rebellion into something more complicated when professional ambition and attraction begin colliding.

Vittoria Di Savoia as Alma Lancaster

The role is a major step for Di Savoia, who has described You+Me as her first leading part in a feature film. She previously worked on the French miniseries La Mere et l’Assassin and has discussed studying acting after deciding to pursue the profession seriously. Di Savoia is also a member of the House of Savoy, a background that has naturally attracted attention around the film, but Alma is not written as a version of her real life simply because both come from prominent families.

Lucas Barski as Vadim Arcadi

Lucas Barski stars opposite Di Savoia as Vadim Arcadi, the 20-year-old student who becomes Alma’s reluctant filmmaking partner. Prime Video describes Vadim as magnetic, solitary and rebellious, with a troubled past that makes him almost the reverse of Alma’s carefully managed upbringing. Their student project forces them into close contact, but the romance becomes increasingly difficult once someone begins threatening to expose secrets capable of damaging both of them.

Lucas Barski as Vadim Arcadi

Barski is one of the movie’s biggest unknowns for viewers arriving through Prime Video. Current public filmographies list You+Me – Against the World as his only screen credit, making Vadim a potentially career-launching role rather than another entry in an established resume. That relative unfamiliarity may work in the film’s favor, since Vadim is supposed to arrive in Alma’s life as someone difficult to place or fully understand.

Aymeric Fougeron as Basile Lancaster

Aymeric Fougeron plays Basile Lancaster, a member of Alma’s wealthy family and a character carried over from Emma Green’s fictional world. The available pre-release cast information confirms Fougeron in the role, while the books identify Basile as Alma’s older brother. Prime Video has not yet released an extensive character biography explaining how closely the movie’s Basile follows the novel, so his exact involvement in Alma and Vadim’s conflict is better left to the finished film rather than guessed from the source material.

Aymeric Fougeron

Fougeron already has a more substantial French screen resume than the two leads. His credits include Les Liaisons Dangereuses, La Venus d’Argent, Broceliande, L’Eclipse and Promethee, alongside several television projects. You+Me places him inside a younger romantic ensemble but gives the movie another actor with experience across both French film and television.

Zoe Garcia as Clementine

Zoe Garcia appears as Clementine, another character whose name will be familiar to readers of Green’s books. The novel establishes Clementine as one of Alma’s close friends, although the screen adaptation may alter details of that relationship as it condenses a much larger romantic saga into a 93-minute movie. Garcia’s casting is confirmed, but promotional material has so far concentrated overwhelmingly on Alma and Vadim rather than explaining Clementine’s complete film storyline.

Garcia may already be familiar to younger French television audiences through SKAM France, where she played Anais across several seasons. Her other credits include L’Eclipse, Face a face, Choeur de Rockers and Pamela Rose, la serie. That experience with youth-focused ensemble drama makes her a natural fit for the social world surrounding Alma’s film-school life.

Leo Legrand as Timothe Vallas

Leo Legrand plays Timothe Vallas, one of the supporting characters connected to Alma and Vadim’s wider story. The casting is confirmed in the movie’s current credits, but detailed official information about Timothe has not been released ahead of the premiere. Rather than importing material from the books and assuming the adaptation follows it exactly, the character is best approached as one whose importance will become clearer once the movie is available.

Legrand is among the more experienced actors in the younger ensemble. He began acting as a child and has appeared in productions including Jacquou le Croquant, Les Enfants de Timpelbach, Anthracite and King & Conqueror. French audiences may therefore recognize him considerably faster than Barski, despite Timothe occupying a supporting rather than leading position in You+Me.

Gabrielle Taittinger as Lily Lancaster

Gabrielle Taittinger is credited as Lily Lancaster, placing another member of Alma’s family in the film. Green’s books identify Lily as Alma’s younger sister, part of the Lancaster household that helps establish just how different Alma’s upbringing is from Vadim’s far less secure background. As with Basile, the extent to which Lily’s book storyline survives the film adaptation has not been detailed in Prime Video’s advance material.

That family element matters because Alma’s romance is not occurring in isolation. Her decision to pursue cinema is already something she hides from the people closest to her before Vadim complicates her life further, so the Lancasters represent both affection and the expectations she is trying to escape. Keeping Basile and Lily in the adaptation gives Gaurin a way to show that pressure through characters rather than relying entirely on exposition.

Suliane Brahim plays Alma’s mother

Suliane Brahim is also part of the Lancaster family, playing Alma’s mother. The casting was revealed by Di Savoia herself during an interview in which she said she was already a great admirer of Brahim before working with her. That is a useful addition to the publicly available cast information because several early databases have yet to list Brahim alongside the younger performers.

Brahim brings considerably more experience to the film than its two leads, with credits including Black Spot, The Swarm, Acid, All Your Faces and An Ordinary Case. She is also closely associated with the Comedie-Francaise, giving the Lancaster side of the story a veteran performer opposite Di Savoia’s comparatively new screen presence. The casting should help the family conflict carry some weight beyond simply functioning as an obstacle to Alma and Vadim’s romance.

You+Me – Against the World ultimately depends on whether Di Savoia and Barski can make Alma and Vadim’s attraction convincing, but the supporting ensemble gives their romance a larger world to push against. Alma’s siblings and mother represent the privileged environment she is beginning to resist, while characters such as Clementine and Timothe expand the film-school circle where her relationship with Vadim develops. That balance between two relatively fresh leads and established French performers gives Prime Video’s adaptation a cast that feels appropriately young without being built entirely around newcomers.
