Jack’s unexplained absence after Faye’s birthday party becomes one of the strangest moments in Love Is Blind: UK Season 3, but the show does not reveal exactly where he went. Jack tells Faye that he had simply gone for a walk. The explanation troubles her because she wakes up alone, cannot reach him, discovers that he is no longer sharing his location, and eventually learns that he is roughly two hours away while apparently wearing sandals. Nothing shown in Episodes 1-8 confirms that Jack cheated, met another woman or lied about being alone. What the episode establishes is much narrower: Faye does not believe that his explanation adequately accounts for what happened.
What happened after Faye’s birthday party?
The trouble begins after Faye celebrates her birthday with other members of the Season 3 pod squad. By this stage, she and Jack have survived the complications created by his earlier connection with Ciara and appear to have settled into one of the season’s more affectionate engagements. They have visited Cornwall to meet Jack’s family, who respond warmly to Faye, and the couple appears to be moving toward the wedding with relatively few major disagreements. Then Faye wakes during the early hours after her birthday celebration and discovers that Jack is gone.
She tries calling him but cannot get an answer. More concerning to Faye is the fact that his location is no longer being shared with her, removing the easiest way of establishing where he has gone. When they eventually make contact, Jack says he went for a walk. Netflix’s own recap notes the odd detail that he appears to be approximately two hours away and wearing sandals, circumstances that make the explanation difficult for Faye to accept without questions.

Where did Jack actually go?
Love Is Blind: UK has not confirmed Jack’s exact destination. That is the most important distinction to make because the episode gives viewers plenty of reason to be suspicious without supplying enough evidence to determine what Jack was doing.
Jack’s account is that he went for a walk. The series does not show him meeting someone else, does not identify another destination, and does not establish that he was with another contestant or romantic interest. There is therefore no factual basis, at least from Episodes 1-8, for turning the incident into a cheating story.
What makes the situation difficult is the combination of details rather than any single piece of evidence. Being unexpectedly absent after a night out could have an innocent explanation. Being unreachable makes the situation harder to understand. Turning off location sharing and apparently ending up a considerable distance away adds another layer that Jack never fully resolves for Faye.

Why doesn’t Faye believe Jack’s explanation?
Faye’s concern is fundamentally about trust rather than the physical act of going for a walk. She had already experienced uncertainty about Jack during the pods, when he was simultaneously developing relationships with her and Ciara. Jack had initially told Ciara she was his “number one,” only for his connection with Faye to become stronger later. He also mistakenly called Faye “Fran” during the pod stage, another moment that made her question whether she had the full picture.
Those earlier issues do not prove Jack did anything wrong after the birthday party, but they help explain why an unexplained disappearance lands badly. Faye had chosen to trust him after the pod triangle and again after the Ciara confrontation in Ibiza. Jack had also spent the holiday reassuring her through romantic gestures and eventually telling her that he loved her.
The birthday incident is different because Faye cannot resolve it simply by accepting another verbal reassurance. She is dealing with something that happened while she was asleep and that Jack cannot demonstrate to her afterward. His decision to downplay the situation seems to concern her almost as much as the disappearance itself.
Did Jack meet Ciara or another woman?
There is no evidence in the released episodes that Jack met Ciara or another woman during his absence. Ciara’s name naturally enters viewer speculation because she and Jack had a meaningful pod connection before she chose Ajay and he became engaged to Faye. Their history also causes friction in Ibiza, where Ciara confronts Jack over how he described their dates.
That history, however, should not be treated as evidence about the birthday night. Nothing Netflix has released connects Ciara to Jack’s disappearance. Ciara is herself still engaged to Ajay at the end of Episode 8, after the pair recover from a serious argument of their own.
The responsible conclusion is therefore much less sensational. Jack’s whereabouts remain unexplained beyond his claim that he went walking. Anything more specific is speculation unless Jack, Faye or the show provides additional information later.
Faye’s parents arrive at an awkward moment
The timing makes the incident even more difficult because Faye’s parents visit while doubts about Jack are still fresh. Rather than meeting an engaged couple moving confidently toward marriage, they encounter Faye questioning something she cannot properly explain.
Netflix says her parents are disappointed by the doubts Jack’s nighttime disappearance has created. Their response matters because family visits are meant to provide another layer of reassurance before the weddings. Instead, Jack has to demonstrate that Faye can trust him after behavior that has unsettled both her and the people closest to her.
Faye does not immediately end the engagement. She and Jack have a series of honest conversations about trust, eventually reconcile and decide to move forward. By the end of Episode 8, Netflix officially lists them as still together.
Does Jack’s disappearance end their relationship?
No, not during the episodes currently available. Faye chooses to continue the engagement after discussing the incident with Jack, and the couple remains together heading into the Season 3 wedding episodes. What viewers do not yet know is whether that repaired trust survives the final decision at the altar.
That uncertainty is why the disappearing act matters beyond being an unusual piece of reality-TV drama. Jack never gives Faye an explanation that completely removes the ambiguity, yet she decides that their relationship is worth continuing. The wedding will therefore test something more substantial than whether they remain attracted to each other. Faye has to decide whether the trust rebuilt after that night is strong enough for marriage.
