Industry is loading its final season with another formidable group of power players. Cary Elwes, Dianna Agron and Sam Riley have joined Season 5 of HBO’s financial drama alongside Jessica Brown Findlay, Bally Gill, Luke Manley and Eduard Poliakov. The seven additions arrive shortly after Zosia Mamet was announced as Carmen Dame, a fitness influencer turned wellness-tech founder and CEO. Season 5 has already been confirmed as the show’s last, making the unusually large casting expansion particularly interesting as Harper Stern and Yasmin Kara-Hanani head toward their final chapters.
Cary Elwes joins Industry as investor Padgett Stillman
Cary Elwes will play Padgett Stillman, an investor, adding another established financial figure to a series that has steadily widened its focus beyond the young Pierpoint graduates who dominated its earliest seasons.
Elwes brings an extensive screen career that ranges from The Princess Bride and Saw to Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning and Stranger Things. Industry has increasingly used recognizable guest stars without allowing celebrity casting to overwhelm the story, as seen with Kit Harington, Max Minghella and Kiernan Shipka in recent seasons.

Stillman’s precise relationship to Harper, Yasmin or the remaining financial players has not been revealed. His profession, however, puts him comfortably inside the wealthy investor class that Industry has become increasingly interested in as its characters have moved away from the confines of Pierpoint.
Dianna Agron’s Skip Binksy enters the wellness business
Dianna Agron is joining as Skip Binksy, the CFO of a wellness company, a role that immediately becomes more intriguing alongside Zosia Mamet’s Carmen Dame. Current casting information identifies Dame as a former fitness influencer who has built herself into a wellness-tech founder and chief executive.
That pairing strongly points toward the wellness business becoming one of Season 5’s new corporate arenas, although HBO has not released a full plot synopsis connecting Binksy and Dame. Industry has previously built seasons around fashionable sectors such as ESG investing and fintech before exposing the money, status and questionable incentives underneath them.
Agron remains best known to television audiences for Glee, while her later work has included Shiva Baby, Acidman and Clock. Skip Binksy puts her into a very different corporate environment, and fan reaction to the announcement has already focused heavily on both Agron’s return to a major HBO-scale drama and the character’s unusually memorable name.

Sam Riley will play billionaire Solomon Kerr
Sam Riley has been cast as Solomon Kerr, a Silicon Valley billionaire, giving Season 5 another character operating at the level of extreme private wealth rather than the junior banking world where Industry started.
Riley’s credits include Control, Maleficent, Rebecca and Islands. The description of Kerr as a Silicon Valley billionaire is notable because creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay have repeatedly expanded Industry into the intersection of finance, technology, politics and elite influence rather than keeping the drama centered on trading desks.
Season 4 followed a similar outward movement as Harper and Yasmin became entangled with fintech, political power and people whose wealth could shape entire institutions. HBO described that season as a globetrotting struggle involving money and power rather than a conventional workplace drama.

Who else has joined the Industry Season 5 cast?
Jessica Brown Findlay will appear as Marina Saint Clair, while Bally Gill has joined as politician Nikesh Shah. Luke Manley and Eduard Poliakov will play execution traders Stevie Delmonte and Olexij Kovalchuk, respectively. The exact importance of those characters has not yet been disclosed.
Zosia Mamet was announced separately in July as Carmen Dame. Production on the eight-episode final season was scheduled to begin in the U.K. in early August, putting the latest casting announcement alongside the start of filming rather than months before cameras roll.

Industry is ending while its audience is still growing
Season 5 is not happening because Industry has run out of audience. HBO said Season 4’s global viewing was pacing roughly 30 percent ahead of Season 3, while U.S. episodes were averaging about 1.7 million cross-platform viewers when the renewal was announced.
Down and Kay instead chose to build toward a deliberate ending. They said they had spent time considering the best way to finish the series and joked that, unlike some of their characters, they “know when to leave a party.” The creators have since said writing toward a fixed conclusion has allowed them to think specifically about the final images viewers will take away from the show.

Adding Elwes, Agron, Riley and four more newcomers therefore looks less like an attempt to restart Industry and more like one final expansion of its world. Harper and Yasmin began as graduates fighting for jobs inside an investment bank. By Season 5, the people surrounding them are billionaires, investors, wellness executives and politicians. That escalation feels appropriate for a drama that has spent five seasons asking what happens when ambition finally gets people into the rooms they once dreamed about entering.
