Family Through the Fire keeps its focus tightly on one family as a wildfire turns an evacuation into a desperate search for two missing members. The Lifetime movie is led by Alanna LeVierge and Matthew Stefiuk, whose characters face the same disaster from very different positions. She must get the family’s other children to safety and live with the uncertainty that follows, while he stays behind when their youngest daughter is still in danger.

The two leads are joined by a largely Canadian supporting cast. Several additional performers can be traced through their professional resumes even though Lifetime has not yet published a detailed character-by-character cast list for the movie.

Alanna LeVierge Leads the Cast

Alanna LeVierge plays the mother at the center of Family Through the Fire. After the wildfire reaches the family’s home, her husband stays behind to find their youngest daughter while she gets the other children to safety. The days that follow leave her trying to care for the children while facing the possibility that her husband and daughter may not be coming back.

LeVierge is a Canadian actress originally from Abbotsford, British Columbia. One of her most substantial earlier film roles came in the 2016 horror movie Let Her Out, in which she played Helen, a bike courier whose physical and psychological condition changes after a traumatic accident. Her other screen credits include Christmas Lucky Charm, Grounded for Christmas, Christmas by the Book, Mia and Me and an appearance in The Boys.

The role in Family Through the Fire places her in a different kind of thriller. Rather than driving the story through investigation or confrontation, her character’s tension comes from being separated from the people she loves while trying to keep the rest of the family functioning.

Matthew Stefiuk Plays the Father

Matthew Stefiuk plays the husband and father whose decision drives the central crisis. He remains behind when the family’s youngest daughter cannot be safely evacuated, turning what initially appears to be a rescue attempt into a struggle for survival and, as Lifetime’s synopsis describes it, redemption.

Stefiuk is an Ottawa-born actor with a long list of Canadian and American film and television credits. Horror fans may recognize him as the detective in Clown or the ranger in The Blackcoat’s Daughter, while his more recent work includes Hot Frosty, My Dreams of You, Catch Me If You Claus, SurrealEstate, Broad Trip and Secrets on the Ranch.

Family Through the Fire also reunites Stefiuk and LeVierge after The Black Widow Killer. LeVierge appeared in that movie as Young Kendra, while Stefiuk played Deputy Tyson, making the Lifetime wildfire drama another project shared by the two Canadian performers.

Elizabeth Braun Is Also Part of the Movie

Elizabeth Braun’s professional acting resume credits her with Family Through the Flames, the production title used during filming, and identifies Anjali Nayar as director. Her resume lists the project among both her film and television work, although the publicly available credit does not provide her character’s name.

Braun has previously worked in television productions including The Vampire Diaries, CSI: NY and Prime Suspect. She has also appeared in Lifetime projects, making Family Through the Fire another entry in a screen career that includes both dramatic and thriller material.

Steffi DiDomenicantonio Joins the Supporting Cast

Canadian actress and singer Steffi DiDomenicantonio is also credited on the production. Her professional resume lists Family Through the Flames as a supporting Lifetime role under director Anjali Nayar, though her character has not been publicly identified.

DiDomenicantonio has a broad television background that includes Chucky, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, The Umbrella Academy, Murdoch Mysteries, Workin’ Moms, Transplant and Frankie Drake Mysteries. Her career also extends heavily into stage work, including Come From Away.

Wes Malik Plays a Search and Rescue Coordinator

Wes Malik has one of the supporting roles for which a character description is already available. His professional credits identify him as the Search & Rescue Coordinator in Family Through the Flames and list the part as a principal role under Anjali Nayar’s direction.

That role fits naturally into the wildfire storyline as authorities and emergency workers search for people caught in the disaster. Malik’s other credits include When I Said I Do, The Unstoppable Jenny Garcia and Mayday: Air Crash Investigation.

Caroline Brassard Is Part of the Ensemble

Caroline Brassard is another performer whose resume confirms involvement in the Lifetime production. Her professional profile lists Family Through the Flames as a principal role, although it does not yet identify the character she plays.

Brassard has also appeared in Law & Order Toronto, The Boys and Heated Rivalry. With the movie centered on a threatened community as well as one family’s ordeal, performers such as Braun, DiDomenicantonio, Malik and Brassard help build the people surrounding the central evacuation and its aftermath.

Family Through the Fire premieres on Lifetime on September 13, 2026. The network currently foregrounds LeVierge and Stefiuk as the movie’s two stars, while additional character names and complete end-credit information should make the supporting ensemble clearer once the film has aired.
