Below Deck Mediterranean Season 12: Release Date, Cast, Filming Location and Summer House Crossover

Bravo has not yet announced a precise premiere date or the complete Season 12 crew. However, Captain Sandy and Aesha Scott are officially returning, while production sightings have fueled speculation that several Season 11 yachties may also be back. Between the new Greek setting, rumored returning crew and the first major crossover of its kind for Below Deck Med, there is already plenty known about the show’s next season.

Is Below Deck Mediterranean Season 12 Confirmed?

Yes. Below Deck Mediterranean was officially renewed for another season, and Bravo has since moved well beyond a simple renewal announcement by revealing footage and photos connected to Season 12 production.

The clearest confirmation came when Bravo announced that Below Deck Med Season 12 would host a crossover charter with Summer House Season 11. Captain Sandy and Aesha appeared in the official first-look image alongside several Summer House cast members aboard the yacht. Bravo said the crossover is coming in 2027.

Production has therefore already happened, even though viewers are only now saying goodbye to the Season 11 crew.

When Will Below Deck Med Season 12 Premiere?

Bravo has confirmed that Below Deck Mediterranean Season 12 will air in 2027, but an exact premiere date has not been announced.

The network has also not revealed whether Below Deck Med and Summer House will air their crossover charter in the same week or whether the event will be shown differently across the two series. Bravo’s current announcement simply says both seasons and the crossover will arrive sometime in 2027.

That means any specific month or day currently circulating online should be treated as speculation until Bravo publishes its 2027 schedule. For now, the safest answer is simple: Season 12 is filmed, it is coming in 2027, but there is no official premiere date yet.

Who Is Returning for Below Deck Med Season 12?

Captain Sandy Yawn and chief stew Aesha Scott are the only crew members Bravo has officially confirmed for Season 12 so far. The network’s crossover announcement specifically identifies Sandy as captain and Aesha as chief stew while saying additional crew members will be announced later.

Their returns are hardly surprising. Sandy remains the central figure of Below Deck Mediterranean, while Aesha has served as her chief stew since returning to the franchise in Season 9. The more interesting questions concern the rest of the crew.

Production photos and filming reports appear to show Chef Joy Lefaucheur, Joe Bradley and Cooper Dawson returning. RealityTea also reported that former chief stew Katie Flood, who last served as chief stew on Season 6, was spotted around the Season 12 production. None of those four names has been officially announced by Bravo, so they should still be treated as rumored cast members rather than confirmed returnees.

Joe is particularly interesting after the Season 11 finale. He returns his acting-bosun stripes to Sandy before leaving Akira One, making his desire for a promotion obvious. Leaked Season 12 filming photos have since fueled speculation that he may finally be serving as bosun, although Bravo has not confirmed his rank.

Is Nathan Gallagher Returning for Season 12?

Nathan Gallagher is not expected to return. He was absent from the Season 12 filming reports that surfaced while production was underway, and Bravo later stated that it does not plan to work with him again following his legal developments in Australia.

That makes Season 12’s deck leadership particularly interesting. Season 11 was dominated by Nathan and Joe’s deteriorating friendship, but with Nathan apparently gone, Joe may have the opportunity to prove whether he can succeed when he is no longer operating in the shadow of that rivalry. Bravo has not yet officially revealed the new bosun or full exterior department.

Where Was Below Deck Med Season 12 Filmed?

Greece is officially confirmed as the country where the Season 12 crossover charter took place. Aesha, Summer House cast members and Bravo all shared behind-the-scenes material from the group aboard the yacht in Greek waters. Andy Cohen also referenced the Summer House group being on the yacht in Greece.

The more specific filming location appears to be Corfu and the Ionian Islands. Production sightings placed the Below Deck Med yacht around Corfu, while reports identified nearby Ionian destinations as the broader area being used during filming.

Bravo has not formally announced Corfu in the same way it has confirmed Greece, so there is an important distinction. Greece is official. Corfu is strongly supported by production sightings and reporting.

That also means Season 12 represents a geographic change from Season 11, which was filmed around Dubrovnik, Croatia.

Is Zaliv III the Season 12 Yacht?

Production reports identify Zaliv III as the yacht used during Season 12 filming.

The motor yacht measures roughly 49 meters, making it slightly smaller than Akira One, the yacht featured throughout Season 11. Reports from Corfu specifically connected Zaliv III with the Below Deck Med production.

Bravo has not officially revealed the yacht’s television name or formally announced Zaliv III as the Season 12 vessel yet. That means it remains a well-supported production detail rather than a network-confirmed fact.

FilmiFeed’s separate Season 12 filming-locations article goes deeper into Corfu, the Ionian Islands and Zaliv III, so this broader Season 12 guide should keep those details relatively concise rather than duplicating the entire location story.

Which Summer House Stars Are on the Below Deck Med Crossover?

Bravo has confirmed seven Summer House Season 11 cast members for the crossover charter: Kyle Cooke, Lindsay Hubbard, Ciara Miller, Carl Radke, Jesse Solomon, Mia Calabrese and Bailey Taylor.

They appear alongside Captain Sandy and Aesha in Bravo’s first-look photo from the yacht. KJ Dillard is also returning for Summer House Season 11 but was not included in the crossover image.

The trip marks the first official Summer House and Below Deck Mediterranean crossover charter of this scale. While Bravo franchises frequently share cast members at events or on Watch What Happens Live, this crossover puts the Summer House group directly into Below Deck’s normal charter-guest format.

That should allow both shows to tell the same trip from very different perspectives. Summer House can follow the cast vacationing together, while Below Deck Med can show Aesha and Sandy dealing with them as charter guests.

What Did Aesha Say About the Summer House Guests?

Aesha has already given viewers one encouraging spoiler: the Summer House cast apparently behaved much better than some of Below Deck Med’s more demanding charter groups.

When Kyle Cooke asked her to rate them as guests on a scale from one to 10, Aesha said she would give them a 12 and described them as surprisingly calm and genuinely nice.

That does not necessarily mean the crossover will be drama-free. The cameras were capturing relationships within the Summer House group as well as the normal pressures facing the yacht crew, and Jesse Solomon teased that things were about to get interesting while sharing footage from the boat.

The crossover therefore may produce a different type of chaos than viewers normally associate with difficult charter guests.

What We Still Don’t Know About Season 12

The biggest missing pieces are the exact premiere date and the complete crew. Bravo has confirmed Sandy, Aesha, Greece, the Summer House crossover and a 2027 release window, but the network has not officially announced the remaining yachties.

That leaves several compelling questions heading into the new season. Will Joe actually become bosun? Is Joy returning as chef? Why was Katie Flood spotted around production? Does Cooper return after his Season 11 breakup with Kat? Those answers should become clearer when Bravo releases the official Season 12 cast and trailer.

Season 11 ended with several crew members closing difficult chapters aboard Akira One. Season 12 already looks like a significant reset, with Nathan gone, Greece replacing Croatia, and a crossover charter bringing some of Bravo’s most recognizable personalities directly aboard Captain Sandy’s yacht.
