Fighting Around Their Daughter Changed Things

One of the clearest reasons Thaís gives for ending the relationship involves their daughter. She says the couple reached a point where they realized they were arguing in front of her.

That appears to have changed how both of them viewed the marriage. Whatever disagreements Patrick and Thaís could previously handle privately were now affecting the environment around their child, and neither wanted that situation to become normal for her.
