Watchlist privacy

Effective 15 October 2026. This page describes FilmiFeed Watchlist version 1.1.0.

Your list stays in your browser

Movie and TV titles, optional release years, viewing status, season and episode progress, notes, favorites, collections, and creation and update times are saved in this Chrome profile using the extension's local storage. FilmiFeed does not receive your list. The extension does not use cloud sync, account sign-in, analytics, advertising, or background network requests. It does not read your browsing history, web pages, streaming accounts or cookies.

Local data is not encrypted by this extension. Other people with access to your browser profile or your exported files may be able to read it. Avoid putting sensitive personal information in notes.

When you choose Browse FilmiFeed

Browse FilmiFeed opens the FilmiFeed homepage in a new tab only when you click the link. The extension does not send any watchlist titles, notes, viewing progress or other list data to the website, and does not add an identifier to the link. The website receives the normal information associated with a website visit, such as your IP address and browser information. The website privacy policy applies to that visit. Searching your list inside the extension stays local.

Backups and deletion

Export saves a readable JSON file on your device. Import reads only the file you select, shows a preview, and merges valid entries after you choose Merge backup. Existing entries are kept when normalized titles, types, and years match; an entry without a year also matches that title and type. Collections are merged by name. Backups are not sent to FilmiFeed. Keep exported files private and delete them yourself when no longer needed.

If saved data cannot be opened, Download recovery copy preserves its saved value in a separate readable file on your device. Recovery copies are not standard import backups and may need maintainer assistance. They are not automatically sent to FilmiFeed and should be kept private.

You can delete individual titles using Edit, then Delete title. Deleting a collection keeps its titles and removes their collection assignment. Removing the extension removes its local list. Removing your Chrome profile can also remove the data. Export a backup before uninstalling or moving browsers. The extension cannot recover a deleted list without a backup.

Limited use

Data handled by the extension is used only to provide its watchlist features. FilmiFeed does not sell this data, use it for advertising, or transfer the locally stored list to others. The extension uses watchlist data only for the features described here, in accordance with the Chrome Web Store Limited Use restrictions.
