The Challenge: Cutthroat Season 42 Episode 11 arrives with the final getting close enough for every decision to feel expensive. Tori Deal and Adrienne Naylor already secured permanent captaincy and guaranteed final spots in Episode 10, but the rest of their teams are still fighting for survival. Underwear Gate begins with a communication-heavy daily, moves into one of the strangest social arguments of the season, and finishes with a major leadership gamble from Tori. By the end of the episode, Orange keeps its numbers intact while Gray loses another important player.

Orange Wins Feed It Through
The daily challenge is called Feed It Through, and both teams must move three blocks through giant wire tracks before stacking them at the finish. TJ makes the task harder by forcing the competitors to complete most of the course blindfolded, which puts the emphasis on communication rather than raw speed. The stakes are especially high because this is a women’s elimination day, and Michele Fitzgerald is the only eligible Orange woman if her team loses. Orange ultimately works through the course slightly faster than Gray and earns control of the Arena.
Gray’s loss creates an unusual nomination structure. Adrienne must personally choose one Gray woman, while the remaining players must select a second nominee, and Tori will later decide which one faces Michele. That gives Orange enormous power at exactly the point when Gray is already dealing with internal fractures. Michele immediately recognizes that some potential opponents are much more dangerous than others depending on whether the elimination is physical, mental or puzzle-based.

Underwear Gate Takes Over the House
Before nominations, the episode suddenly becomes centered on Johnny Bananas’ underwear. Tensions involving Anna Leigh Wilson and Bananas had already been building because Lete believed Anna Leigh was behaving too comfortably around him and repeatedly framed the issue as a question of “girl code.” The situation becomes much stranger when Bananas’ underwear is found among Anna Leigh’s belongings. Anna Leigh immediately denies taking it and argues that Bananas or one of the men must have planted it to embarrass her.
Bananas never gives viewers a clean answer about how the underwear got there. He jokes that Anna Leigh might have wanted a souvenir but also says he does not actually know what happened, while Will openly admits he is stirring the pot around the situation. Anna Leigh insists there has never been anything sexual between her and Bananas and says they are simply friends who often sit near each other. The argument eventually expands far beyond the underwear and brings earlier questions about flirting, relationships and house behavior back into the open.
Adrienne Nominates Anna Leigh
At nominations, Adrienne chooses Anna Leigh as her personal nominee. Adrienne explains that team chemistry matters this close to the final and that she has to think about which combination of people gives Gray its best chance to perform together. Anna Leigh does not quietly accept the decision and immediately argues that she is more valuable to a final than some of the women being protected. Her attention quickly turns toward Cara Maria Sorbello, whom she accuses of not performing strongly enough this season.
The exchange between Anna Leigh and Cara becomes one of the episode’s biggest confrontations. Anna Leigh argues that Cara’s past championships and elimination record should not outweigh what she believes has been a disappointing current season, while Cara fires back by reminding her how much she has already proven over years of competition. Cara also takes issue with being judged by a rookie who has not yet experienced a Challenge final. Their argument becomes increasingly personal until Anna Leigh openly casts her vote for Cara.

Lete Blindsides Cara With the Second Nomination
Lete also votes for Cara, but her reasoning is different from Anna Leigh’s. She believes Cara is the safest decoy because Tori is unlikely to choose her if the other option is Anna Leigh, which means putting Cara up could keep Lete herself away from the Arena. The strategy may make sense on paper, but Lete does not warn Cara before the vote. She later admits that she had to lie to Cara and blindside her in order to make the move.
That decision creates another layer of tension inside Gray. Michele criticizes Lete for turning on someone who had supported her during the season, while Lete argues that she has to protect her own game at this point. Cara is understandably frustrated because a supposed ally has used her name as a strategic shield without permission. By the time the group reaches the Arena, Gray’s problems are no longer only about losing daily challenges but also about whether the players trust each other at all.
Tori Volunteers Instead of Sending Michele
Everyone initially expects Michele to compete because she is Orange’s only eligible woman. Once Tori sees the Arena setup, however, she realizes the elimination appears strongly physical and starts thinking about the final rather than the immediate round. Tori says Michele’s brain and puzzle ability are too important to Orange’s long-term chances, while Tori herself is much better suited for a direct physical contest. She therefore volunteers to take Michele’s place.
The move shocks both teams because Tori is risking far more than a normal elimination appearance. Episode 10 already guaranteed her a place in the final and locked her in as permanent Orange captain, so losing here would erase an enormous amount of security. TJ even points out that many players promise they would volunteer for teammates, but very few actually follow through when the moment arrives. Tori says being captain means leading with integrity and taking responsibility when she believes a difficult job is better suited to her.
Tori Chooses Anna Leigh Over Cara
Tori still has to select which Gray nominee she wants to face. She briefly acknowledges the possibility of another elimination against Cara Maria but decides against repeating a matchup the two have already experienced. Cara is allowed to return to safety, and Tori chooses Anna Leigh instead. The decision aligns with Orange’s earlier belief that Anna Leigh is dangerous but more manageable in a physical elimination than some of Gray’s other options.
TJ then reveals that the game is Back Up Off Me, the classic Cutthroat elimination remembered for CT carrying Johnny Bananas like a backpack. Tori and Anna Leigh begin strapped back-to-back and must force some part of the other woman’s body outside the circle or onto the boundary rope. Unlike some eliminations, there are no multiple rounds or opportunities to recover from a mistake. One long physical struggle decides who stays.

Tori Sends Anna Leigh Home
Anna Leigh makes the elimination much harder than Orange expects. She stays low, uses her strength well and repeatedly prevents Tori from quickly overpowering her, turning the contest into a battle of small gains rather than one explosive move. Tori eventually works herself into a better position and forces the final movement needed to win. The victory keeps Tori in the game and protects Michele without costing Orange a single player.
TJ praises Anna Leigh for the fight she puts up and says he hopes to see her return in the future. Anna Leigh leaves disappointed but says she gave everything she had against a proven champion, while the episode gives Underwear Gate one final joke by handing her the disputed Bananas underwear as she exits. She takes it with her, which provides a funny callback without proving she originally stole it. Gray is left with Adrienne, Cara Maria, Cassidy Clark and Lete, while Orange remains six strong heading toward the next stage of the game.
