Noah Schnapp explained his thought process, saying, “Ultimately, I came to the realization that if I remained open about my sexuality only within my close circle, I’d still have a sense of hiding a part of who I am. To genuinely be authentic, I needed to share this with everyone.” Noah recounted that he had a list of individuals, including Millie Bobby Brown, to whom he needed to come out. He recounted his attempts to do so in person with her, finding it difficult. Eventually, he chose to FaceTime her during an outing at Party City. He recalled saying, “Millie, I want you to know I’m gay.” In response, he playfully imitated her accent, saying, “Oh, Schnapper! Noah Schnapp made his public announcement of being gay through TikTok on January 5th. In the video, he wrote, “When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was ‘we know’.” The short clip showed him mouthing the words, “You know what it never was? That serious. It was never that serious. Quite frankly, will never be that serious.” In the caption, he expressed how he discovered a deeper connection to his “Stranger Things” character than he initially realized, specifically in terms of their sexuality. {}
