Naked and Afraid: Shipwrecked enters its final week with the survivalists beginning to think less about individual camps and more about how they are actually going to escape the Lost Coast. The scattered pieces of the rescue map are finally drawing everyone toward one place, but Episode 7 makes sure the path there is anything but straightforward. Jamie Frizzell’s stingray injury becomes a serious medical problem, Jarrell Banks walks away from the comfort of his resource-rich camp, and Dani Beauchemin reaches her limit just as the remaining groups are preparing to unite.

By the end of the episode, eight survivalists remain and all four pieces of the map are finally together. Getting that far, however, costs the challenge two more competitors for very different reasons. SPOILERS AHEAD.
Jamie’s Stingray Injury Gets Worse
Episode 7 picks up with Jamie still suffering from the stingray strike that ended the previous episode. The initial treatment has not brought lasting relief, and the pain returns in waves that Jamie describes as worse than the original attack. His teammates can see that his foot is becoming swollen and discolored, prompting another visit from the medical team.
The medic examines the wound for any barb fragments that could still be trapped inside. The show explains that the wound needs to remain open so it can drain rather than sealing marine bacteria or fragments beneath the skin. Jamie is in extreme pain, but when he is asked whether he wants to leave, he refuses. At this stage, he is still determined to reach Day 35.
Dani Faces Her Fear of the Ocean
Jamie being sidelined pushes the others to find food that can help him recover. Dani has her own reason to be uneasy around the water after being stung by a box jellyfish earlier in the challenge, but she decides to go back into the ocean anyway.
It becomes one of Dani’s better survival moments in the episode. She returns with conch and a large goby, proud that she has confronted her fear and contributed food for the group. Jamie is especially important to her after the breakdown of her partnership with Jarrell, and Dani describes him as her “ride or die” in the challenge.

Jarrell Leaves Relly’s Ranch
Jarrell, meanwhile, is surviving surprisingly well on his own. His camp has fresh water, coconuts, bananas, fire and access to seafood, but he has a problem that food cannot solve. He has no map and no team, which means remaining at “Relly’s Ranch” could leave him stranded when it is time for extraction.
He decides to leave the camp and search for the other survivalists. Jarrell tries to carry live coals with him so he will not have to start a new fire, but the embers eventually die during the difficult trek. With no map to guide him, he has little choice but to keep moving and hope he reaches another group before he runs out of options.
Malu and Ana Lis Clear the Air
Elsewhere, tension has been growing between Malu, Mandy and Ana Lis. The issue is not whether Ana Lis is capable of contributing, but whether she is paying enough attention to the routine chores that keep a large camp functioning. Malu points to tasks such as boiling water and gathering coconuts while others are already carrying much of the daily workload.
The conversation becomes heated, but it does not fracture the group. Malu stresses that she considers Ana Lis family and wants her to be more aware of what needs to be done around camp. By the time the group prepares to move, they agree to leave the argument behind rather than carry another feud into the final week.
Jamie Is Medically Evacuated
Jamie’s condition does not improve. His foot becomes severely swollen, and the pain changes into what he describes as a burning pressure. Eventually, he admits that there is a good chance the wound has become infected and agrees to let the field doctor assess it.
The doctor decides that Jamie needs hospital treatment and cannot safely remain in the challenge. Jamie is devastated because he has already experienced medical taps on previous Naked and Afraid appearances, but he recognizes that the infection is different from simply enduring pain. He is medically evacuated and taken to the nearest hospital.
The episode later confirms that Jamie was treated with an aggressive course of high-dose antibiotics before returning home, where he fully recovered. He leaves describing Shipwrecked as his fifth challenge, with two completed challenges and three ending in medical taps.
Jarrell Finds the Other Survivalists
Jarrell’s gamble eventually pays off when he reaches the camp occupied by Darrin, Adam, Mandy, Malu and Ana Lis. He explains the breakup with Dani and Jamie from his perspective, although Malu immediately presses him on what he may have done to contribute to the conflict.
Jarrell also arrives with something more useful than his version of the argument: bananas and information. He tells the group about the resources at his former camp and explains that they need the other map pieces held on that side of the island. With only a week remaining, everyone agrees that staying separated no longer makes sense.
Jarrell leads the difficult hike back across the island. The route is steep and exhausting, forcing the group to slow down and help one another through difficult sections, but they eventually make it back toward the beach camps.
Dani Learns Jarrell Is Coming Back
Jamie’s departure has already left Dani feeling lonely. When Patrick tells her that he has found the other group and that Jarrell is with them, the news creates another problem. Everyone needs to combine camps and maps to have a realistic chance of reaching rescue, meaning Dani can no longer simply keep her distance from her former partner.
Dani makes it clear that she does not want Jarrell back at her shelter. She accuses him of mocking, micromanaging and repeatedly undermining her during their time together. Patrick and Ally try to reassure her that Jarrell is unlikely to restart the conflict with a large group around him, but Dani says she is already at rock bottom.
Why Does Dani Tap Out?
Dani decides to leave voluntarily before Jarrell reaches the camp. She says the challenge has not become the experience she wanted and explains that she does not function well with a high-conflict partner. After 28 days on the Lost Coast, she boards the boat without completing the final week.

Her sudden exit surprises Patrick and Ally, particularly because the group is so close to Day 35. Ally later suggests that several pressures may have contributed, including Dani missing Jamie, struggling to get enough protein and facing the possibility of renewed conflict with Jarrell. Jarrell sees it differently and is openly critical of Dani for leaving rather than facing him again.
The Four Map Pieces Finally Come Together
After Dani’s departure, the remaining survivalists complete the merge. Jarrell returns to the camp where his Shipwrecked experience began, but this time he arrives as part of a much larger team. With Jamie and Dani gone, eight competitors remain heading into the final stretch.
The biggest breakthrough comes when they place all four sections of the map together. The completed image reveals an island in the center that none of the teams have yet visited. The group immediately suspects that this unexplored location may hold the key to their rescue.
There is one major problem. The island is still miles away, and reaching it will require another demanding journey after nearly a month of survival. The episode ends with the group beginning to think through a risky plan, setting up a final week in which finding the rescue point may prove just as difficult as surviving long enough to reach it.
