Wanda Bell sees that opportunity in West Coast rap, convinced that music could become the…
There is a reason London never feels like a convenient backdrop in Fuze. David Mackenzie actually put his cameras into some of the neighborhoods caught up in the story, including Edgware Road and Paddington, while using other parts of England whenever the scale of the action made central London impractical. Wembley became the bomb site,…
Baltegrad in Vigil Season 3 does not appear to be a real town. It is a fictional Russian settlement created for the series, but the idea behind it has a clear real-world parallel on Svalbard. The actual archipelago has Barentsburg, a Russian mining settlement with a history stretching back more than a century. That real…

Adam Wingard’s Onslaught makes unusually strong use of its New Mexico surroundings. The A24 action-horror film, starring Adria Arjona as former Army sniper Celeste, was filmed primarily in and around Albuquerque and Moriarty, New Mexico, with the production using real desert locations, existing buildings and purpose-built sets instead of relying heavily on virtual environments. Principal…
The Gentlemen expands well beyond Halstead Manor in Season 2, and the change is visible almost immediately.
