Big Brother Chile (Gran Hermano Chile) is a popular reality program produced by Banijay. The show is the Chilean adaptation of the original Big Brother show, which was produced in the Netherlands and was created by John de Mol. It is presented by Diana Bolocco and Julio César Rodríguez.
It follows the format of the Big Brother series, featuring a group of contestants living together in a specially designed house, where their every move is captured by cameras and broadcasted to the audience.
In the Big Brother Chile program, a group of participants engages in a competition that spans approximately four months. Their objective is to avoid being nominated by their fellow contestants and survive periodic eliminations, which are ultimately determined by the audience. By navigating these challenges, the contestants aim to secure the final prize. The winner of Big Brother Chile receives a prize of CL$ 25,000,000 as a reward for their accomplishments throughout the season.
The first edition of the program was recorded in the house of Big Brother Argentina, which has more than 2,500 square meters. It is located in Martinez.
Big Brother Chile premiered on June 18, 2023, and is broadcasted on Chilevisión. The show airs from Monday to Friday at 22:40 and on Sundays at 00:30.
