Australian Idol’s eighth season debuted on January 30, 2023. It is the first season of the program since 2009. It is shown on Seven Network, which purchased the rights to the series from Network 10.

Seven Network confirmed during their annual upfronts on October 21, 2020, that they would revive the series, which was previously scheduled for 2022. It was eventually pushed back until 2023. {Official Instagram} {wikipedia}

During the auditions, the crew traveled over Australia to identify the greatest singers; if the singer earned more than three yeses from the judges, they won a “golden ticket,” putting them in the top 50. The show’s judges are Harry Connick Jr., Meghan Trainor, Kyle Sandilands, and Amy Shark.
