Justin Hinsley’s hostility toward Anna Leigh Wilson becomes one of the strangest conflicts in The Challenge 42 Episode 6 because even other contestants are confused about why he cares so much. The episode finally provides an answer: Justin has personally met Anna Leigh’s husband, Coy, and believes her behavior with other men is disrespectful to someone he has seen genuinely love her. His problem also goes beyond Leo Dionicio. Justin says he thinks Anna Leigh changes her stories and refuses to take responsibility when confronted, turning a disagreement about marriage boundaries into a personal feud.

Justin Has Actually Met Anna Leigh’s Husband

Justin’s concern is not based entirely on watching Anna Leigh’s marriage from afar. During Episode 6, he explains that he has previously had dinner with Anna Leigh and Coy and has personally seen the way Coy treats and loves his wife. That connection appears to be why he reacts more emotionally than some of the other contestants.

From Justin’s perspective, Anna Leigh wearing a wedding ring while openly flirting or touching other men is disrespectful. He compares her behavior with the way he says he would treat Adrienne Naylor, making the issue about what he believes committed partners owe each other. That moral judgment clearly shapes the way he interprets almost everything Anna Leigh does afterward.

What Happened Between Anna Leigh and Josh?

The immediate Episode 6 fight is triggered by Josh Goldstein, not Leo. Justin claims he sees Anna Leigh’s hand resting on Josh’s thigh while everyone is drinking at the bar, and he views it as further proof that Anna Leigh has poor boundaries with men. Anna Leigh says the accusation is completely false and becomes furious when it spreads through the house.

The episode never produces an uncontested answer about the alleged touching. Leo says he did not see Anna Leigh touching Josh and questions why the incident is even becoming a storyline, while Anna Leigh invites people to ask Josh himself. That means Justin’s account is his observation, not an objective fact confirmed by every person who was present.

Why Does Justin Dislike Anna Leigh Beyond the Husband Issue?

Justin eventually makes it clear that his frustration is no longer limited to a specific piece of flirting. He believes Anna Leigh repeatedly denies things, changes her version of events and then acts as though people are unfairly attacking her. To Justin, the bigger problem is accountability.

Anna Leigh sees the situation completely differently. She says Justin has had a vendetta against her and cannot understand what she supposedly did to make him hate her so intensely. Their conflict therefore stops being a disagreement over Leo and becomes a fight over whose version of Anna Leigh’s behavior should be trusted.

Anna Leigh Thinks Justin Is Making Her a Target

Anna Leigh feels increasingly isolated as the accusations pile up. She insists there is nothing happening with Josh and argues that people in the house are twisting stories about her because of the earlier Leo controversy. From her perspective, once the house decided she had crossed a line with Leo, every interaction with another man started being interpreted as further evidence against her.

Nelson Thomas is less sympathetic when she complains about that reputation. His basic position is that Anna Leigh put herself in the situation through the initial flirtation and now has to move forward rather than continuing to fight every rumor. That response shows why Justin’s accusations land so effectively even when other players are uncertain about specific details.

Is Justin Really Defending Coy, or Is This Strategy?

Episode 6 gives stronger evidence for a personal motive than a strategic one. Justin’s confessional focuses specifically on having met Coy and being angry because he knows how much Coy cares about Anna Leigh. There is no scene where Justin admits that he is attacking Anna Leigh because weakening Blue improves Orange’s position.

Still, some Blue players suspect strategy is part of the situation. During the argument, the idea is raised that Orange benefits from creating conflict inside Blue, especially when Blue is already struggling with captain politics and possible nominations. The episode never confirms that as Justin’s real motive, so it is better treated as the Blue team’s interpretation rather than an established plan.

Why the Justin-Anna Leigh Beef Is Not Going Away

The disagreement is difficult to resolve because Justin and Anna Leigh are arguing about two different things. Anna Leigh wants him to prove specific accusations, while Justin believes the overall pattern of flirting, denial and changing stories tells him enough about her character. Even proving that she never touched Josh would therefore not necessarily end his dislike of her.

Episode 6 also gives Anna Leigh a chance to acknowledge the part she does regret. She apologizes to Leo for letting their earlier conversation go too far and says she needs to protect the life she has at home. That admission supports part of Justin’s criticism about boundaries, but it does not prove every allegation he makes, leaving their feud rooted in a mixture of confirmed behavior, disputed incidents and genuine personal dislike.
