The couples entered 90 Day: The Last Resort Season 3 knowing that everything at the retreat was leading to one final decision. After weeks of therapy, arguments, intimacy exercises and uncomfortable conversations at Thornbury Castle, Episode 16, All Rise for Their Last Chance, brings them to the recommitment ceremony where they have to decide whether their marriages are still worth fighting for.

For several couples, the ceremony becomes a chance to start again rather than an ending. Others arrive with conditions that still need to be resolved, while one couple does not even get the face-to-face recommitment moment they had been building toward.

Who Stayed Together at the Recommitment Ceremony?

Five of the six couples choose to recommit during Episode 16: Shekinah and Sarper, Patrick and Thais, Jenny and Sumit, Rebecca and Zied, and Russ and Paola. Kara and Guillermo are the only pair who leave the retreat without recommitting, with Guillermo deciding not to attend the ceremony at all.

These are the decisions made at the end of the retreat rather than a guarantee of where every relationship stands after filming. The upcoming Tell All is already positioned to revisit what happened once the couples returned to their normal lives, so some of these apparent happy endings could still look very different.

Shekinah and Sarper Recommit to Their Marriage

Shekinah and Sarper are the first couple called forward, and despite another difficult stretch at the retreat, neither ultimately walks away. Shekinah talks about entering the experience unsure of what their relationship would look like by the end, but tells Sarper that she remains grateful for the way he continues to choose her even when their relationship becomes difficult.

Sarper approaches the moment in his typically unconventional way, but eventually makes his decision clear. He admits that recommitting comes with a risk because he cannot be certain they will be happy, yet he still loves Shekinah and believes the chemistry between them is rare enough to keep fighting for. The pair agree to recommit and leave the ceremony together.

Patrick and Thais Stay Together, but Brazil Becomes Part of Their Plan

Patrick and Thais also choose each other after spending much of the retreat confronting questions about intimacy, money, family and whether they want another child. Patrick tells Thais that regardless of whether they expand their family, she has already made him proud, and he recommits to choosing their marriage going forward.

Thais’ recommitment comes with an important request about their future. She says she wants them to consider moving to Brazil so they can try to have another baby there, and Patrick responds that he will do whatever it takes. The ceremony therefore ends positively for them, although their disagreement over what comes next is not completely settled.

Jenny and Sumit Recommit After a Last-Minute Standoff

Jenny and Sumit’s ceremony becomes one of the most uncertain of the episode because Jenny does not simply want Sumit to say that he loves her. She wants him to stop moving back and forth between his marriage and his parents, reminding him that he had promised they would move out and asking him not to reverse that decision again.

Sumit initially refuses to make that particular promise immediately, saying he needs to return home and speak to his parents first. However, he makes an important distinction: he is still recommitting to Jenny. After Jenny gives him one more month to resolve the family situation, the couple leaves the ceremony together, and Jenny later admits she had feared he would choose his parents instead.

Rebecca and Zied Decide Their Marriage Is Still Worth Saving

Rebecca and Zied arrive at the ceremony after another difficult period involving trust, Zied’s phone and Rebecca’s fear that their marriage may have reached its end. Zied nevertheless tells Rebecca that he is willing to commit, even while acknowledging that the changes they need cannot happen immediately.

Rebecca reaches the same conclusion after admitting that she had considered whether walking away might finally give her peace. Instead, she tells Zied that she still believes they can rebuild what they once had and chooses both him and their marriage. Zied eventually makes his recommitment explicit as well, allowing the couple to leave the retreat together.

Russ Signs the Papers and Recommits to Paola

Russ and Paola’s decision hinges on the papers Paola previously asked him to sign. Russ struggles with the request because he feels as though putting his name on the document is almost equivalent to signing divorce papers, while Paola makes it clear that refusing could mean losing her altogether.

The suspense ends when Russ reveals that he did sign. He says he decided to put faith in himself and their relationship, and the two exchange declarations of love before leaving the ceremony together. Their recommitment does not erase everything that brought them to the retreat, but it means they choose to continue working on the marriage rather than ending it there.

Kara and Guillermo Are the Only Couple Who Split

Kara and Guillermo have the most painful ending because there is no mutual recommitment ceremony at all. Kara arrives expecting to discover Guillermo’s decision, only to learn that he has chosen not to come and has instead left her a letter explaining his position.

The central unresolved issue is Kara’s adult online content. Guillermo writes that he recognizes the progress they have made as parents, but says he cannot move forward with their marriage while she continues posting that material and does not see a compromise that would make it acceptable to him.

Guillermo later explains that returning to the ceremony could simply restart their fighting and undo the progress they had made, particularly when it comes to their son. By the end of the episode, he says plainly that his marriage to Kara is officially over, even though he still loves her and does not regret everything they shared.
Episode 16 therefore ends the retreat with five couples choosing to stay together and one choosing separation. But the story is not finished, as the episode immediately previews the Tell All, where several of those recommitments appear likely to face another serious test.
